Overgrown (2025)
Overgrown is a 65‑meter long interactive light installation that visualizes the ebb and flow of urban life. Vines glowing with light cover the normally dark walls in the heart of the city. Light moving through the vines mimics sap flowing through real plants, and mirrors the daily movement of people bringing the city to life.
As cyclists or pedestrians pass by the installation, their presence causes leaves and shoots to sprout from the vines, bringing even more life and light to the walls. As the people keep going and leave the area the fresh leaves wither and disappear again, creating a reflection of the rhythm of the people moving through the city.
